French Group Courses Live Online

Live online French classes are a sociable activity where you can develop a valuable skill in a relaxed environment.

You can enjoy group French classes in the comfort of your own home. Unlike learning alone with an app, you get real speaking practice in structured lessons where you can ask questions and get instant feedback from a real teacher!

My French learners soon discover they’re not “rubbish at languages” after all! It’s my job to make sure you enjoy the learning process and to convince you that you don’t need to be perfect to start speaking French.

Speaking even basic French will give you the confidence to go off the beaten track on your next holiday. It could also be great for your career, or it might just become your new favourite hobby!

Starting from zero?

You can do more than you think when it comes to speaking French! My 6-week French beginners courses are based on practical language and real communication. They’ve been designed with plenty of speaking and just enough grammar to build your confidence in French conversation.

I’ve developed my courses by actually delivering them to people like you, who thought they were “rubbish at languages” but soon found out they they could quickly get speaking with the right support.

Social French intermediate course

Got the basics?

My 6-week intermediate French courses gradually build in complexity, until you are speaking on a variety of subjects in French with a good level of confidence. You may not be perfect but you’ll be able to make yourself understood, and that’s a great feeling!

Aiming high?

My 6-week French discussion courses for advanced learners let you tackle topics such as current affairs, relationships, technology and the environment. There’s still a grammar focus each week too, so you can keep building your accuracy (and therefore your ease with more complex ideas in French). You’ll be giving Brits abroad a better name in no time!

From Zero to Hero in a year

Even if you’ve never learnt a language or can just about remember how to ask the way to the station from your school days, you’ll soon be speaking French! You’ll soon overcome that fear of sounding silly or being “rubbish at languages”.

With my structured and encouraging approach to teaching French, I can get you talking about a variety of topics with confidence in a year by taking you through my Beginners and Intermediate 6 week courses.

The small group size lets everyone go at their own pace, and breakout rooms allow structured conversation practice in pairs. Step out of your comfort zone and get speaking, while making new friends!

Individual French Coaching

I occasionally work 1:1 with people who may have the following reasons for preferring to learn French this way:

  • They need French for a specific reason, in which case I can create a bespoke programme to develop ease with talking about a particular subject
  • They cannot make Thursday evenings for my group courses
  • They’ve already taken my group courses and now want to work on something specific or develop their fluency

I charge £40 per hour for 1:1 tuition, or you can book 6 lessons for £200 which includes access to study materials on Google Classroom and homework marked between lessons.
